AT&amp;T has confirmed to developers that, in addition to a few older phones, all future phones will ship with sideloading enabled. This is great news indeed. This will allow for all AT&amp;T customers to make full use of the Amazon Appstore and other out of market apps. Maybe some day I won't be afraid to purchase an AT&amp;T phone... maybe.</p>

Since AT&T is releasing this on a per phone basis, there is a pretty easy work around if you don't want to wait. The complete directions can be located at:

It's very cool. Download ADW.Launcher from the Android Market and follow the directions to allow side loading.
