There are four major labels:&nbsp;Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, Sony and EMI. This thing is heating up it appears, with Google and Amazon.com also in the hunt and wanting to provide cloud based music services. Personally, I'd like to be able to store all of my music in the cloud, what are your thoughts?</p>

I'm in....

Just not looking forward to when the internet breaks under the pressure of a gajillion GB of simultaneous uploads upon release.

Personally, I think Cloud storage and playback of music only makes sense in scenarios where you don't have enough local storage to accomplish the same task.

There might be some scenarios where streaming comes in handy - you're over at a friend's house and you want them to be able to hear a new song you bought - but in general the combination of usage caps, unreliable wireless, and the battery hit mobile devices take when non-stop data streaming, make this fairly unattractive to me at the moment.

I guess for me, it would involve storing all my music, then only keeping the music on my laptop (for syncing my iphone and ipod etc) that I am currently using. What I do now is keep all the music on my time capsule, backed up by my drobo periodically, and then on my Macbook air I have only the music that i'm listening to in my iTunes library. Then I can sync my iPHone and iPod (for the car adapter)... but my situation is kind of unique in that I live out of a bag since my workplace is so far from my home and I stay from home 4 or 5 days at a time, then home for 3 or 3, then repeat. I don't want to carry everything around with me just the stuff i'm listening to at the moment.

If i thought about it more I could probably come up with a better way, but for now it seems to work :o
