The front was a bit difficult to put on and ended up slightly stretching, but it still looks pretty sweet.</p>

Never did a post about it - you'd have to follow me in Twitter (@jasondunn) to have known. XOOM went back to Best Buy; got a comparison video coming up between the iPad 2 and the XOOM, and a full XOOM review video. Didn't see a point in doing a first impressions video on the iPad 2, but I'll shoot a review video in a week or two.

Ah ok. What prompted you to return it ?

It's just too unfinished; the hardware is great, but Android 3.0 needs an update or two, the XOOM needs a firmware update to get the microSD card slot working, and the platform needs waaaaaaaaaaaay more apps. It's uber-weak right now. I think the XOOM could be a killer device in 6-8 months if everything matures properly.

Agree with most of that. Played with Playbook yesterday. Very nice little tablet. Multitasking is much superior to iOS & Android. Too bad it requires tethering to a BB phone for PIM

Indeed, another nice contender - the hardware is killer, the OS looks/works great, but boy, I'm really not confident in RIM's ability to attract developers to a brand new platform. I mean they can't even work with current Blackberry OS developers...QNX is all new and a completely different ballgame from what I understand. And the Android emulator so they can use Android apps? That's just all kinds of wrong...I might be incorrect, but it seems like it's grasping at straws.

To me, that kind of move says, "We're doing this because we realize we don't/won't have the apps you want."

...back to the skin...

So, this is a combination of skin and wallpaper?

Yes, Gelaskins gives you the wallpaper to go along with the skins. So does Decalgirl. Makes for a nice overall feel. :)

It is with great sadness that I must inform the readers of this site of the passing of "Wolvie", my beautiful skin pictured in the original post. I upgraded to a 64 GB iPad 2 and despite my best efforts, the front skin was not able to be re-applied. I got the back put on, but it's just not the same. I tried for a good 30 minutes to get it back on, but it was never quite right. Goodbye Wolvie, I'll miss you... :(
