The EOS 1100D is a 12 mega-pixel DSLR designed with the beginner in mind. It is constructed of mostly plastic but at the same time feels very sturdy. The controls are grouped together on the right side of the camera instead of around the body as in typical DSLRs for ease of use and to facilitate transitions from point and shoots.
