You lose the optical drive but with the Mac App Store open, you may not even need to use it. I'm finding very limited usage for mine with my MacBook Air. How about you, any interest in this or have you done this already?&nbsp;</p>

I di that with my preivious MacBook Pro 17. But instead of SSD, I put in a 750GB hard drive - the largest size that would physically fit. I then put a 1TB drive in the main bay for a total of 1.75TB of storage, enough for my video library :)

I really like this idea. I am seriously tempted.
