I've personally wished for in-home "everywhere" audio in the past, but I've never been willing to shell out the dollars needed for the whole ecosystem of speakers required. This would provide a solution to that&nbsp;quandary&nbsp;- sort of - but ultimately it's just a "dumb pipe" because it doesn't allow you to control the music coming off your PC.</p>

Now... A useful bit of software would be something that turns your Mac or PC to the AirPlay receiver. There is one for catching AirPlay video from iOS (AirPLayer, http://ericasadun.com/ftp/AirPlay/) but sadly nothing that will just receive Music (or any audio only stream) tossed from an iOS device. airfoil by rogue ameoba does the same thing but also works with PCs and Macs. It will play to them all simultaneously. When used in conjunction with the remote app you can control playback to every room in your house with a PC Mac or iOS device.
