If you can wait a day or two, you will get free shipping from Apple. You can get more info at a page Apple set up just for iPad 2 purchasers. Oh, and on launch day you won't be able to purchase until 5:00 pm.

I'll order mine online, along with a few accessories. I'd rather wait a few days longer than get to one of the (ridiculously busy) Apple stores in London only to find that they're out of stock.

I think those covers are going to be in short supply too.

Online. No time for fighting with lines in the stores. I'll probably get one of those covers and maybe the HDMI cable too. I will not, however, be getting a dock since it's not landscape and my $2.99 craft store frame holder works just fine.

I doubt there will be any kind of huge lines, except maybe in the biggest cities, e.g., NY, Chicago, LA. Unlike the iPhone, where just about everybody has a cell phone and might want an iPhone, the more expensive iPad is more a niche device. Not everybody wants a tablet. Plus, iPhones need extra sales time to set up and activate, whereas an iPad is like, swipe the credit card, give 'em the box, out the door they go.

If I didn't have a V1 ipad, I'd pick one up - it's a respectable update. But there's not enough there to compel me to sell my current one a buy a new one.

Being unemployed at the moment, I may go join the queues at the local Apple store ... and if they run out, I'll order online. But, what model?

According to Computerworld, Verizon will tier its monthly data plans thusly: $20 for 1GB; $35 for 3GB; $50 for 5GB; and $80 for 10GB. AT&T, on the other hand, will offer just two options: $14.99 for 250MB and $25 for 2GB. Exceed your allotted amount of GBs, and AT&T will charge you $10 per 1GB.

Probably the 16GB WiFi + AT&T GSM Model ...

I'll hit the Lincoln Park Apple Store IF I decide to get one. I ponied up for the 64GB 3G version of the first one but really don't need the 3G or 64GB of storage. I can use MyWi on my jail broken iPhone 4 when I need/want the access and 16 or 32GB should be plenty.

If I can use my iPhone 3G...I'll just get a 32GB WiFi. And at one of the three Apple stores in my area...but not necessarily the first day.
