Netflix, What Are You Thinking?

If you are on the plan where you get physical DVDs like I am, I see no logical reason for this move. If you are on the streaming, since they have improved their search capabilities so much with recent updates, I can see why you wouldn't need it so why can't they make it subscription specific? Is the coding that much of a burden? What are your thoughts?</span></p>

That seems really odd to me. :confused: Of course, it's equally odd that in Canada, I can't queue/tag shows that I want to watch. I have to search/browse from scratch every time. It's bizarre. :confused:

Oddly, it's never even occurred to me to use anything but the Netflix site for queue management. My HDTV doesn't have an option to add movies anyway - only view and delete them so it's no big deal. I don't watch movies on my iPhone even though I have the app loaded and have never even looked to see if the queue can be managed with it. Since my MBP is normally in the living room, it's just as easy to use it to manage my queue from the web site with it. I wonder how many folks actually manage their queue from external devices?

I wonder how many folks actually manage their queue from external devices?Well, Jeff up there is one and I'm another. I regularly update my disc queue from my iPad when I am browsing for something to watch instantly. Guess if they make it more difficult, no reason to pay for the mailed DVD service. Maybe that's what they are hoping for. Not neccessarily that I drop my subscription level, but they can drop the mailing.

I dropped from 3 DVDs at a time to 1 since getting my HDTV and have added a lot to my Instant Queue. But there are still TOO many movies that are only available via DVD and until most of their catalog is available via streaming, I'll have to keep a DVD option.
