The biggest chunk of those consumers will make the switch in the first three months that Verizon offers the iPhone 4, with the bulk of the remainder dumping AT&amp;T within the next year."</em></p><p><img src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/at/auto/1295314243.usr17748.jpg" /></p><p>Another prognosis, based on what I personally would not consider to be a statistically valid sample. (More than) 4,000 users sampled out of how many iPhones sold? Anyway, the survey found that poor reception and dropped calls were a major factor in those polled saying that they would switch. Isn't this a common complaint with all carriers and most phones? &nbsp; The concept of churn is real. What do you readers think? Would you switch from an AT&amp;T iPhone to a Verizon iPhone, and why or why not?</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

My reception with AT&T is no better or worse than it was with T-Mobile, my previous carrier, so I'm certainly not dropping AT&T for that reason. And the cost of switching is unacceptable for me (ETF plus cost of new phone). I'm staying.

Same for me, I've had t-mobile as well, and had a friend test her droid pro (on verizon) at my house, and vzw 3g reception was no better than at&t. And, as you say, the ETFs are expensive, especially trading (only) like for like. If 4G would've been in the picture, that would be another story for me ...

Good. I hope it includes all those bozos that were using up everyone elses bandwidth running ISPs out of their iPhones, and making AT&T lower my data allowance.

It sure would be a surprise if they switched to Verizon and had the same number of dropped calls.

My wife and I are both on ATT and I can sit right next to her on our couch and make a call with my Nexux One while she can't with her iPhone 4.

Perhaps the Verizon radio will just work differently or something in the Apple engineering is really susceptible to AT&T's GSM technology. I'm not even talking about Antenna-gate. This has been the case since my Samsung Jack and her iPhone 3.
