For now, Tim Cook appears to be running the show, and if you need a primer on just who Tim Cook is, the WSJ has posted a <a href="http://blogs.wsj.com/digits/2011/01/17/who-is-tim-cook/" target="_blank">"Who is Tim?"</a> story that fills that need. The stock market in the US is closed for the Martin Luther King Jr holiday, but foreign stock markets were open and reacted negatively to the news, as shares of Apple in <a href="http://www.cultofmac.com/apple-shares-in-europe-dive-on-word-of-jobs-leave-of-absense/77342?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed:+cultofmac/bFow+(Cult+of+Mac)" target="_blank">Europe dropped between 6 and 8%</a>.&nbsp;</p>

I've been watching this all day. If I were on the Apple BoD, I'd be a little worried that Mr. Jobs' health was so intimately tied with the 'health' of the company (as reflected by stockholders concerns). While the drop is not catastrophic, it is significant and more than you see when other CEO's take medical breaks.

I'd also be concerned about the AMOUNT of media attention this is getting.
