But there's no good reason to, unless you're extremely impatient or you don't care that much about money. On top of that, a new iPhone is bound to be announced this June, so why lock into an old iPhone? Well, old by the time June rolls around anyway right? And when you consider some of the other points such as the advancement in technology that is sure to come, you really may be better off waiting. Personally I am not going to be one of the switchers as AT&amp;T hasn't been all that bad for me, but if you are thinking about it, you may want to consider some of these points. What are your thoughts anyway, do you plan on switching? Or if you are a Verizon customer now are you going to make the early adopter plunge or wait until June?</p>

I'd considered it, based on all the speculation prior to the announcement, but, since it's not a 'world phone' (no CDMA+GSM), it's not very attractive now. I'll wait ...

I am a current Verizion customer with a two year old regular cell phone and a three year old iPod Touch. I am strongly considering upgrading!

I have been an early adopter by nature in the past. I have been a fiercely loyal Verizon customer since the company was formed through mergers and unwilling to change to AT&T for an iPhone. Now I can refresh everything and get back to a owning a smart phone.

These are my thoughts but I am certainly interested in another perspective on waiting for five more months for the latest technology.

Jeff, a question regarding the next iPhone update, ?version 5?

I could wait until the next iPhone rev but is it going to be a major or a minor rev cycle? Three years ago we had the iPhone 3G, then then minor upgrade cycle to the 3 GS. So if this logic continues the iPhone 4 could go to a 4x, not to a 5.

I have read some iPhone 5 potential feature lists (Cnet) and while they would be nice, none are really significant.

Could I please get your thoughts?

Thanks,
Karl

I think Apple should refresh the UI; it begins to show its age. Said that I am looking for what the iPhone 5 will be..... and I may switch from a WP7 device to an Apple one.
