Is Apple TV Really Just A Netflix Box?

If so do you purchase movies using iTunes or Netflix?&nbsp; According to research Netflix is by far the most popular option chosen by Apple TV owners. Whether this is down to rental costs or choice of movies available is uncertain from this article on Gigaom.&nbsp; One thing that we can bet on though is that Apple will certainly adapt, change and innovate their service to try and catch and pass Netflix. Do you have and Apple TV and if so which do you use and why?</p>

Darrell from GigaOM seems to have done a terrible reporting job here. He's implying that the Apple TV itself is used for more Netflix than iTunes, but he's citing overall numbers of the two services. Moreover, there seems to be no differentiation made between streaming and DVD content. So... he seems to be conflating a ton of numbers? Am I missing something?

In any case, I use my Apple TV for primarily iTunes content, and much of the stuff I watch via iTunes is not available on Netflix streaming.

I tend to use my Apple TV for a combination of both Netflix and iTunes content. I wouldn't say I use one more than the other. It was this dual function in a small easy to use form factor that attracted me to the Apple TV.
