This doesn't come as a big surprise that Barnes &amp; Noble wants to stick with it's own development team. Though it would have been nice to have access to the Android market, but there are always ways!</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

I think there is still a lot of potential for it as Android tablet. A friend of mine got one, rooted it and is extremely happy with it. It sounds like the biggest problem with it is the lack of standard buttons (one isn't enough for the required back, home, and context menu).

The good news is that new Moto tablet on the way doesn't have any buttons! Honeycomb will have on-screen buttons for that device. The advantage with this design is that the orientation doesn't inherently degrade the user experience. I'm thinking you should be able to turn on that functionality for the Nook as well - making it a great $250 tablet!

Time will tell but I'm keeping my eyes on this!
