Just hours after its announcement, the first hidden gems are starting to come to surface."</p><p><img src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/adt/auto/1291830259.usr206.jpg" style="border: 1px solid #d2d2bb;" /></p><p>Well looky there. Looks like some of those crazy people out there have already started ripping apart the new Android 2.3 SDK. Guess what they found? Yep, icons for audio and video chat status. This doesn't mean that voice and video chat are coming to Android but is is a pretty strong hint that someone is at least working on it. All I can say is that it is about time. Voice and video chat over Google Talk is great from your PC. How awesome would it be from your phone? Anyone else super excited about this possibility?</p>

Nope. Had phones with cameras as early as 2007 and never used them. Never used webcams either. This video chat thing goes over my head.

I think it would be nice to have. My last device, a winmo from europe, had video calling built in but it didn't work in the US.

I do have Tango installed and have used it to call a friend with an iPhone 4. The quality of the video isn't great on Tango but it was easy to setup and worked fine. It is just cool that it works across platforms.

Well if Google would make this available outside of USA than it would be nice/fun, but for now I don't really care.

Yeah, it really isn't something that I think I would use often.. but it sure would be fun to play with. :)
