It's fast, accurate, elegant, allows me to avoid standing in a queue to pay, and can print or email a receipt. I get my emailed receipt before I've even left the store. The system is currently running in test mode in a few Old Navy Stores (on iPod Touches as "ZipCheck"). BTW, Old Navy is owned by The Gap, where Steve Jobs was on the board of directors from 1999 to 2002. Coincidence? You be the judge. Is the traditional cash register going the way of the typewriter?</p>
