Despite<a href="http://windowsphonethoughts.com/news/show/101423/chevron-wp7-unlocker-pulled.html" target="_blank"> pulling their unlocking tool</a>, they've put up a custom ringtone manager - with open source code available, no less - that allows you to use your own ringtones (subject to format constraints) on your WP7 device. Of course, you have to jump through a couple of hoops (you need the WP7 SDK and build an app), but the ability is there if you want it. Of course,<a href="http://windowsphonethoughts.com/news/show/101416/rumor-first-windows-phone-update-will-do-what-took-apple-three-years.html" target="_blank"> Microsoft's pending "massive" update </a>might include this function soon, so you might not have to wait too long for an officially sanctioned way to do it.</p>
