Depends -- when charging, I use the Apple iPad Dock. On battery, I use the one built in to the Otterbox case.

Plastic plate stands, they cost about £1.50 ($2) from local market for a pack of 4 and hold it in a perfect display position on my desks, in either orientation. Only addition is a tiny bit of blu tack to stop them sliding, but better ones have rubber feet.

Perfect simple solution :-)

This one from Arkon is pretty good. http://www.arkon.com/iPad_accessories/iPad_stand.html Light weight, very sturdy, and folds up fairly compact for travel.
