Agreed, we're not going to see some merging of OS X and iOS.

What I think we'll see is an iOS emulator on OS X...a way for people to use their iOS apps on their computers.

Of course, in order for that to happen, Apple will have to get their act together and deploy touch screens on their desktops and laptops - being basically the last OEM in the world to do so. And because OS X has no work put towards touch UI that I'm aware of, Apple will have a lot of catching up to do versus Windows, which is pretty decent for touch input now.

Possibly but it would most likely be implemented similar to dashboard. Which is to say it sounds cool but is quickly forgotten about.

Could be...except I think people have a much stronger attachment to iOS apps then they would to Dashboard widgets. Guess we'll see what happens. :)
