View Full Version : Samsung Focus issues?

I purchased a Samsung Focus and am mostly very happy with it, and see great future potential in it. I say "mostly happy" and "future potential" because I am having some significant problems with it:

-Push email with my Exchange Server (version 2010) doesn't work, even though I have the sync set to "as items arrive"....I (usually) have to manually sync to get new email. (This is especially frustrating because the reason I stuck with Microsoft / Windows Phone 7 is because I assumed nothing would sync better against a Microsoft Exchange Server than a Microsoft Phone).
-The phone freezes and/or reboots multiple times a day. (This is probably the most serious issue).
-The phone insists on being turned on when charging. If it's off when you plug in the charger, it will turn itelf on. And if you try to turn it off with the charger plugged in, it will just turn right back on automatically.

Now, in purchasing a Windows Phone 7 device the first day it was availible in my country (USA, 11/8/2010), I choose to be an early adopter, and am therefore willing to put up with some bugs until they are hopefully (quickly) fixed. On the other hand, if no other Samsung Focus owners are having these issues, than maybe I just have a defective unit, and I need to exchange it.

I am trying to determine which is the case, so please respond in this thread if you are a Samsung Focus owner with some or all of these issues. TIA!!
