Correct video playback on various disparate devices is the holy grail, and Safari, Firefox and Chrome all currently have their own requirements, and IE 9 is expected to bring its own set of challenges. Remember IE 6? Still running (badly) on millions of computers. As for iOS and other mobile devices, HTML5 is alive and well. The funny thing about standards is that they usually trail 'real life' by a considerable distance. By the time HTML5 gets its standard, the industry will be on to the next great thing in video. C'est la vie!</p></p>
