Here's a look at the early impressions."</em></p><p><img src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/at/auto/1285803972.usr105505.jpg" style="border: 0;" /></p><p>Gizmodo is rounding up the reviews of the new AppleTV. &nbsp;(At the time this article is being written, they've only rounded up two reviews, but they're adding more as they come in). &nbsp; So far, the reviews are mixed, and the complaints are what you would expect: &nbsp;no hard drive, streaming only, and lack of an included HDMI cable. &nbsp;Mine has shipped. &nbsp; At the current time, it has just arrived in Alaska from Hong Kong, so I expect to have it by Friday or Monday. &nbsp;Given the reviews so far, I don't think there will be any unexpected surprised when I receive mine. &nbsp;I'm looking forward to swapping out my old AppleTV with the new model. &nbsp;</p>

I think it's annoying enough that Microsoft and Sony only bundle standard def cables with their consoles. To not include any cable at all is dumb and surely goes against Apple's "it just works" ethos. Are HDMI cables really that expensive to manufacture?

I'm sticking with my old Apple TV for now. We don't get the Netflix integration or TV rentals here in the UK so the new model is actually worse than the old one.

Yes, not including something that really is cheap such as an HDMI cable really annoys me too....it annoys me not because of the cost but for the inconvenience of having to leave the house and go buy one.... if I haven't prepared well in advance and ordered a cheap one online, resorting to a Wal-Mart one that costs way more than it should...but I have ordered mine as well so now that I know there is no cable I shall be prepared! :)

They must be - yet, if that's the case, why can I get them for so dirt cheap from Monoprice? It's pretty irritating that virtually nothing comes with an HDMI cable.
