On top of being able to handle all the media and podcasts on your Android device, the app now handles internet radio."</em></p><p><img src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/adt/auto/1285000869.usr206.jpg" style="border: 0;" /></p><p>I'm not a doubleTwist user because one of the things I enjoy most about Android is not having to tie your device to a computer but I am a huge fan of internet radio. Up until now I had pretty much dismissed the doubleTwist Player for Android because I didn't use the desktop client and the stock music player was "good enough". Now with the addition of internet radio this magical mobile media player has gotten that much better. Perhaps it's time I head over to the market and give it a go. How about you? Any of you doubleTwist users out there excited about the new features in this update?</p>

I wasn't interested in DoubleTwist either because I never used iTunes and don't sync to my PC. I do like internet radio and was looking for a good android player. Just the other day I found TuneIn. I think it's great! It has tons of stations and is easy to use. It even has a "local" option that shows local radio stations based on your location. If you play a station it automatically adds it to your favorites/quick list.

So if you want an app that may be a little lighter (since it doesn't have all the syncing) just for internet radio give this a try! It's free and works great on my Droid X.

Does anyone know if DoubleTwist has any advantages over TuneIn as an internet radio player?

After playing with doubleTwist Player it doesn't hold a candle to TuneIn for internet radio. Still a nice addition for current doubleTwist users. :)
