What is unique about this whole thing is that this is the first time that Apple has allowed an outside company access to iTunes code so they could build software to allow access without having to "reverse engineer" the software. I'm pretty excited about this feature so I hope it works, my expectations are high!</p>

Considering Airfoil currently works with any device that supports AirTunes, I wonder if they'll update it to work with AirPlay. I'm guessing they will, which would be awesome, because then you could stream ANY sound from your Mac to any of these devices, not just iTunes. (I use it, for example, to stream live streaming podcasts to iPod touches that are on speaker docks and to the AppleTV so as I walk around, I can continue to listen). This is going to be all kinds of awesome. :-)
