If you watched Steve's demo, you saw HDR (High Dynamic Range) in action, but the real question is whether HDR is worth it in the real world."</em></p><p><img src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/at/auto/1283993020.usr105505.jpg" style="border: 1px solid #d2d2bb; margin-left: 113px; margin-right: 113px;" /></p><p>Tris Hussey over at The Next Web does a few experiments with the HDR in iOS 4.1 on an iPhone 4. &nbsp;The results look pretty good, in some cases. &nbsp;In fact, with pictures where there are elements that are blown out or underexposed while other elements look correct, HDR seems to work very well (as one would expect). &nbsp;Obviously, it doesn't make every photo look better (and can make some look worse), but since it always saves the original exposure, it's worth experimenting with. &nbsp;Personally, I can't wait to go outside later and try it out.</p>
