Default An answer to the Q “Can I increase the built-in Pocket Inbox font size in WM2003?”

Unfortunately, under WM2003 (unlike under its successor, the WM2003SE), it's not possible to increase the Pocket Inbox text body font size.

The three registry keys under [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings] MsgListHeaderFont, MsgListBoldFont and MsgListReadFont only set the font sizes in the mail list - and not even they can be set to any size. The practical maximum is around 100-110 instead of the deafult 80. Over this, the following cutting effects will be seen (the bold size, MsgListBoldFont, is set to 200; MsgListReadFont is set to 100):

As WM2003 (the operating system that runs on your PDA) has no way of setting global non-menu/non-dialogbox font sizes (you may want to read my post at http://www.pocketpcmag.com/forum/top...TOPIC_ID=15752 on this), there is no way to increase your fonts easily (that is, while in Pocket Inbox and not, say, copying your messages to, say, Pocket Word, and read them there).

Therefore, what I recommend is switching to WebIS Mail (http://www.pocketinformant.com/p_webismail.php ) entirely. It also has font size setting capabilities:

With that, your fonts can become really large:

OK, useful I know, but I really am glad my eyesight is not so bad that I have to set my PDA to show only 4 or 5 words per line! I think I would have to throw it away if my eyesight were so bad.

Personally, I am always more interested in how to make the text smaller so I can see more and mess around less often with scrolling. Fortunately VGA (for now) manages to (mostly) satisfy my need for more text in every app :-)
