Default Spb Benchmark on 472MHz e755 & 2210

For all you speed freaks out there, I just boosted my Toshiba e755 and my HP 2210 to 472MHz with bus speeds of 236MHz using XCPUScalar 400 v2.51 and ran Spb Benchmark on both machines (after a hard reset).

Here are the results:

Now if someone could do the same on the 5555 and 1940...

They are the same. As I said before, the 2210 was boosted to 472MHz with bus speeds of 236MHz.

I'd like to see comparisons of battery life if possible between overclocking and not with the 2210 & e755 if possible.

I wish I had time to do such a testů :?

I assume the number would vary depending on the type of usage and installed peripherals (CF and SD).

Are there dangers associated with overclocking besides just draining the battery faster? Is it going to do any damage?

I assume you are asking about overclocking XScale CPUs as opposed to ARM (JS Overclock) or MIPS (I overclocked my old E-125 to 204MHz using the pencil trick, but it eventually died on me!).

I believe both XCPUScalar and Pocket Hack Master have some sort of a safe mode disabling speeds that would freeze your Pocket PC (an older version of XCPUScalar allowed me to push my e755 to 500MHz but also forcing me to do a hard reset!!).

A great option in both software automatically adapts the CPU speed depending on the CPU actual usage and as a result saves battery life.

FYI a third software option for older XScale CPUS is Clear Speed.

pocket hack master did the job for me...thats part of the reason i loved my 3070 so much. I kept it overclocked at a constent 50 mhz...and it only crash once. Even with that it was only a soft reset. I loaded it up on my 2215 but i havn't seen any profiles for this model. Also....please!!!!! remember to back up your stuff before you over clock!
