Zune Metadata Persistence
Does anyone have a clue where all the places are that the Zune software caches metadata? I've been wrestling with the Zune 2 software for several months now and keep running into unexpected results. I thought I had all the problems fixed recently, but I've got one last 2 disk set that just won't show up on the Zune correctly. Here's what I've done so far.
1 - Used Media Monkey to correctly synchronize all the track tags.
2- Reloaded the music into WMP11 to verify that the tags from Media Monkey are correct. All tracks show the same Artist, Album Artist, and Album. They also show the correct Track numbers to span the 2 discs.
3- Delete and re-add the album to the Zune collection.
Here's the problem. When added to the Zune collection the Zune software shows the album as 2 discs with the names ..... Disc 1 and ...... Disc 2. It also shows different album artists (one just lastname and the other fullname) and Disc 2 shows no Album art. Nor can you update the art manually.
All the information stored in the Track tags on the PC appear to be correct, but not when it gets pulled into the ZUNE. Any ideas?
