Default Get Multitouch on Your Jailbroken iPhone

<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='' target='_blank'></a><br /><br /></div><p><em>"Back when iOS 4.3 was in its beta days, all the fuss was about its fancy new multitouch gestures for switching between apps as well as returning to the home screen on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch."</em></p><p><img height="450" src="" style="margin-left: 150px; margin-right: 150px;" width="300" /></p><p>If you have been using Xcode apparently you can use once you make your device a piece of developer hardware, but now you can also do it if you have a jailbroken iPhone 4 or iPod Touch 4G. It's all lined out in this article how to get the functionality so if you have jailbroken your iPhone, it might be fun to give this a try. If you do, let us know what you think of it, should this be something that Apple gives all of us in one of their updates or not?*</p>

Hmmm... 4 or 5 finger gestures on your 3.5" screen... No, I don't think that's a particularly good idea.

I don't even particularly think it's a good idea for the iPad. When you're in an app, your iPad becomes that app. System gestures that can take you out of that app are jarring and disconcerting and could well be triggered by accident. Plus it may well break apps that rely on 4 or 5 finger gestures.

The only system gesture on the iPad should be the Home button, which is off-screen. If I want to exit the current app, I press the Home button. Simple, clean, elegant, easy-to-understand. I don't think the masses are going to understand or want these "power-user" gestures.
