Default Is Your iPhone Possessed?

FaceTime is a lot of fun! Except if it's glitchily taking secret pictures of us without us knowing, as some iPhone users are claiming."</em></p><p><object width="600" height="360" data=";feature=player_embedded&amp;ap=%26fmt=18" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"><param name="src" value=";feature=player_embedded&amp;ap=%26fmt=18" /></object></p><p>Looks like from the video that it takes a random screen shot at some point during FaceTime. The good thing is that the iPhone 4 isn't sending them off to anyone...yet. I guess no real reason to worry about this glitch unless you are using FaceTime for some, shall we say, risque behavior.&nbsp;</p>

My guess is that FaceTime is actually capturing screenshots periodically during a FaceTime call or at the termination of a call to use in the event of a dropped call or interruption. It may also use those shots at startup as a means to immediatately provide a face while it's making a connection.

I doubt that there's anything insidious going on here, but it would've been nice if FaceTime had made it clear that's what's happening (if that IS what's going on).
