Default The First Microsoft App, OneNote

<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://gigaom.com/apple/onenote-for-iphone-review-overly-simple-note-taking/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+TheAppleBlog+(GigaOM:+Apple)&utm_content=Google+Reader' target='_blank'>http://gigaom.com/apple/onenote-for...t=Google+Reader</a><br /><br /></div><p><em>"Yesterday, Microsoft launched its first Office app for iOS, a mobile version of the digital notebook application OneNote. If you've never heard of it, it may be because you're using the Mac version of Office, which lacks OneNote, greatly reducing the usability of the iOS app."</em></p><p><img src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/at/auto/1295479995.usr105634.jpg" /></p><p>It is free for now, so if you want to give it a try there is no risk. I've messed around with it a little bit, and while I like it for the most part, I still resort to using the Notes app that comes with iOS and Simplenote. One thing that this program requires is a Windows Live account so if you don't have that, you need to get one or just skip this program. The reason is they use the account for syncing, but only for Windows machines, so it is rather annoying to be honest. Still, there are some nice things like being able to add a photo to a note. I'm not sold on it so I'm taking it off my phone but like I said, it is free so you have nothing to lose if you don't like it and erase it from your iPhone.&nbsp;</p>

Actually, not the first MS app. There is also Bing and Windows Live Messenger.

Can't you get to, and use, Office Live, on a Mac? I can do some even with an iPad. Just saying that OneNote on the iPhone syncs quite well to the cloud and can be viewed/edited/etc, in Office Live.

Default Not in Belgium :-(

I tried over the last couple of days to find and download this app but conclude that for the people in Belgium this is not being offered!!
I am not sure why an app like this is restricted, it doesn't really make sense to me. For DRM material I can see that there are issues in Europe (and Belgium) that means we get no video material in iTunes. This is a shame, but understandable (especially as we have 3 official languages and many un-official ones). Why however is a program restricted? OneNote is available on our local language Office package so no reason to restrict a mobile version? English version is fine for 90% of the people so please let us have it?
