Default Film Canister USB Flash Drive: A Second Lifetime of Use

Clever! You can get these re-purposed film canisters with either a 2 GB ($18.99) or a 4 GB ($23.99) embedded USB flash drive. This would make a great gift for a photographer, especially someone who's still shooting film. I'm a bit surprised they top out at 4 GB though - that seems very tiny compared to the normal sizes of drives today.

If you go to, you can find many different ways you can modify any flash drive.

Select the Technology tab on the top ribbon (or down the side), and then USB.

Just quickly perusing the options, I found how you can make the following: teddy bear, barbie, over-sized plush, Rubiks Cube, and even a cigar one. That was on the first three pages! Some of these are hilarious!

Heh, that really shouldn't be too hard, thinking about it. Get a microSD card reader and stick that into an object (with microSD card, of course)!
