Kind of sad that an individual at that level feels the need to justify his personal choices, or disavow them, for the sake of popularity.
I recall a former president facing a publicity storm for admitting he didn't like broccoli. His response was that he was the President, he didn't have to eat broccoli if he didn't like it. Way to stick to principles.
