Default Let's Compare the Droid Bionic and the iPhone 4S

http://www.macobserver.com/tmo/arti...=rss_everything

"Apple announced iPhone 4S on Tuesday, a device the company is shipping on October 14th. As the latest and greatest in Apple's smartphone line, we wanted to see how it stood up to some competing Android devices, starting with the highly touted Motorola Droid Bionic, which was released in September."

I don't even see how you can compare these two, but they did it anyway. I think if you like the iPhone and all it is then you won't be buying a Bionic. Interesting though, in the comparison one thing missing is the comparison about shutter speed when using both cameras. As Phil Schiller pointed out on stage, the iPhone 4 is at least twice as fast as any of the other smartphones when it comes to taking that first picture, and even faster on subsequent pictures. The camera improvement and the speed of the processor are really the only things that are making me consider upgrading at this time. What are your thoughts?

The faster download speed is a bonus to (The Infuse 4G always showed H+ around here. I should have been getting faster d/l speeds but Android browsers are so dreadful it was difficult to tell)

They are slower at page renders and more often than not serve up the mobile version of sites. And none of them I tried reformat the web page to fit the screen like Safari does. Mind you I'm talking about on a phone

Don't know about the speed (don't feel that big a difference between my HD2 and an iPad 2), but you can set user agent in the Android browser, which means you can force the desktop version easily. And both browsers render pages fine. For me the advantage for the default Android browser is reflowing text to fit. That's pretty awesome. One reason why I haven't downloaded Opera Mobile for Android; it's not really needed.
