Are they the same people that complained that e-readers aren't backlit which makes them hard to read in low light?  If it did use color e-ink, they would be complaining about the cost, and that it isn't fast enough to watch videos. Seems like a cool portable device at a reasonable cost that will support some reading activities, plus, in circumstances where an e-ink reader might have some disadvantages.
