Default 64 GB Zune HD Teased on Zune.net

http://www.zune.net/en-us/products/...ehd/default.htm

"The link's dead now, but there's no mistaking the appearance of a Zune HD 64 on the official Zune website. Hey Microsoft, got something you want to tell us?"

Well, it's about time. Ever since the device launched in the fall, there have been rumors of a 64 GB model. It looks like much of the speculation about it coming out in time for the spring update is proving true, as the Zune.net site showed a Zune HD 64 today. It was quickly taken down, but it's likely to be back up again soon when it's offically announced.

I've been saying for months that I was going to hold off getting an HD until the 64 GB model came out. But now that Windows 7 is on the horizon, I'm considering just waiting for my next mobile phone upgrade. What do you all think?

Woo hoo!

...though given that Zune will be in Windows phone 7 devices, and all those devices will have 3.5mm headphone jacks, I might actually start using my phone as an MP3 player again (a practice I gave up years ago). On the other hand, I don't know that any WP7 device will have 64 GB of storage.

Yeah even though I have a capable smartphone, I really like having a device dedicated to music. The iPod app on my iPhone feels tacked-on, and only trivially integrated into the platform (it feels like another application than a top-level priority. I'm excited that the back button on WinPhone7 works so well for going back into applications).

And I know there isn't really any 64 GB phone right now, but a 16 or 32 GB version will work fine for taking with me most places. Plus I figure there might even be a 64 GB phone by the fall.
