Default What Did You Get For Christmas This Year?

So, what did the big man in red bring you this year? My gifts came this year a bit early in the form of a brace of Harley Davidsons for me and the misses (after the break). The kids got some new gadgets though, some of which haven't been unwrapped yet, so I'll hold off on the details for now. So tell us what you got!

Rumble rumble rumble...

Yeah, in our house, HD no longer stands for High-Def.

Unfortunately no gadgets

I asked for a Zune HD and even said I'd settle for an iPod Touch, but my wife felt I didn't need either...

So I got a new wallet, some nice clothes, and my gadget lust is left unfufilled for another year.

Default What I Got for Christmas

I got a Touch Pro 2 and in spite of all the marvelous reviews I read about it, I am not impressed. In fact, I'm going back to my Touch Pro 1. The only thing I liked about it was the tilt keyboard.

Things I hated:

1. No D pad
2. Clicking on items was slow and sometimes needed repeated taps.
3. When I went into "settings" and then "all settings" I never did find where to set up a password or enter owner information.

I thought the transiton would be a breeze but I found it to frustrating to try and navigate and set it up like my Touch Pro 1.

It was described as chunky, but I felt it had a slim feel and felt good in hand.

I'm thouroughly convinced that "new" is not always "best."

Canon Rebel. But the absolute best thing I got was a handmade version of Jayne's Cunning Hat from Firefly!

A custom-made t-shirt from my wife with a picture of a pig on it and all the cuts of pork written out in spanish. Awesome.

Nope, the XS. This is my first foray into the DSLR arena.

Going way off topic here, but hey, it's the off-topic forum, so...

Another fan right here. Though I came about it in an odd way...I was initially very ticked off that some stupid show named "Firefly" was the reason Dark Angel was cancelled, and didn't watch it. Then when Serenity came out on DVD, I watched it...and was quite impressed with it, watching it a couple of more times. Then, last year, I bought the Firefly boxed set - and really enjoyed the show, finally understanding what all the hype was about. I now count myself a fan of Firefly, and Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog to boot. I haven't watched Dollhouse at all though...is it any good?
