DVICE: Zune HD First Look

“A 32GB Microsoft Zune HD media player arrived at our doorstep today, and we had just enough time to take it out of its packaging and snap some first shots. Unfortunately, Microsoft didn't provide the Zune 4.0 software necessary to sync it up and actually use the unit, but we still were in awe of its spectacular 3.3-inch 16:9 OLED touchscreen. It's responsive, bright, sharp, and contrasty. Beautiful.”

DVICE has a quick first look at the Zune HD. They seem to like it even they weren’t really able to use it since they don’t have the software for it yet. Never-the-less, they are still impressed by the styling of the Zune HD and its size and performance! Microsoft really seems to have a hit on its hands here since all of the commentary on the HD really has been positive.

There’s nothing else new here since DVICE couldn’t actually use the Zune HD yet but if you want to check out a nice gallery of some Zune HD shots, check out their first look and admire what you can soon buy (or just pre-order now). Release day is almost here!

If they were under embargo and behave like this, it is no wonder they keep taking more and more back from the reviewers. I agree its very unprofessional. Its not even like they had anything to add to what we already know. I guess they just want get people's attention for when Zune.net goes live on Tuesday.

Personally I think integrity is more important than being first.

But I'm at least happy to see some Zune 32GB Platinum shots that have forever shunned away any of my distaste against the color. So now it comes down to how those Zune Originals color options are tinted.

If not then this Zune fan will miss an upgrade cycle (hardware wise) continues to try and shrink collection to under 32 from 120 Streaming isn't an option, most places I use the Zune don't allow streaming or have a connection period. I hear you. I'm in the same boat, although a purple Zune would be cool if it were dark purple.

The thing about being the first before it's scheduled to come out may be intentional to hype it some more.... although I used to live near a CD store that would give out new releases on Friday before they would come out that Tuesday. After a while, they stopped getting the new releases until a week after they came out. It tought them a lesson after a while.
