I had a feeling something like this was going to happen but it makes me sad. I guess my occasional ad clicks alone weren't paying the bills. I've been here for 6+ years now. There are very few sites...

Judging from the pics at the link, it looks like the charging cord pops up for you to manually plug the device in and then settles into a flexible groove. It might work without having to remove the...

Cloud +

I've adopted a three type approach:

1) Cloud: backing up using one of the many cloud services. I'm paying for extra space ($10 a month) but only backup work files, design files, documents, etc....

Death of unlimited data coming soon?

I wonder how much longer those of us who are grandfathered into their unlimited data plans will be able to keep them. Even though I don't actually use more than 2GB of data each month, I have a...

That looks awesome and it looks easy to remove. The one I have (I think it's a Belkin) has two USB plugs but it's almost flush mount so it's very hard to remove. Note that the Just Mobile website...

I used it and although the interface is a little clunky and the choices are slim, the service is handy and will probably make me send more cards. I was amazed when the app told me that my card would...

I bought the first Nook, the Nook Color and the Simple Touch (which, for the record, I think is a stupid naming convention). The Simple Touch is fast, does last forever, is clear to read and easy to...

Altec Lansing ACS-54s. These puppies are classic but they still sound decent except the connector wire finally gave out. Technically I'm listening to mono. I wonder what stereo sounds like.

I think it's better than Skype for chatting because it's already running (unless you also always have Skype running). I like being able to send videos, though a 15 second video test on mine didn't...

Last night I put my iPhone 4 in airplane mode with 46% power. I woke up this morning to a dead phone. I noticed before putting it to sleep last night that it seemed kind of slow. I suppose an app was...

As a side note, I bought the N2A micro sd card (Nook2Android) so I can dual boot my Nook Color to the Nook OS and Android 2.3 without rooting it. It required almost no setup and I now read my Nook...

Numbers and brand recognition favor the Kindle. I favor the Nook (I have all three versions) over the Kindle and everyone I know who has one favors it. I suppose if you ask Kindle users, they would...

I'm sticking with optical media for now. I just authored a DVD full of family video clips. I'm not streaming 4.7 GB through the internet and I'm not buying 8 GB thumb drives for everyone. I guess I...

Too pricey

I love the idea of this but the price is way off, in my opinion. 16GB and 32GB aren't very much but $129 and $179 is. A device like this is on my radar but I'm not desperate for it so I'll wait to...

Neat idea. Two questions:

It looks thick in the photos. Is it? I don't have a ton of room in my briefcase these days but if it's thin and squishy, I can slide it into a pocket.
Can it be...

There is no way I'd do this. $10 is my maximum for watching at home and only for special new releases. Sure I'd pay a lot more to go to the theater but I'm not paying just to see a movie, I'm paying...
