Disney's New Character Ringtones

Disney Mobile, part of the Walt Disney Internet Group, is now offering consumers an extensive array of character voice ringtones featuring the voices of their most popular Disney and Disney/Pixar characters. The ringtones are currently available to customers of major carriers in the US for a fee of US$2.50 per ringtone."

Unfortunately, the Disney web site still lists them as coming soon, and my carrier is not currently offering these. The only reason I'm interested in these is because I would love to have a clean and crisp recording that is more than just a line from the movie. Oh well, $2.50 is a little too much just to hear Buzz Lightyear on my phone.

Cingular does have the Disney ringtones available on their site.

Selections include multipe 'tones' from Mickey, Buzz, Minni, Poo and single tones available from, Donald, Goofy, Stitch, Tigger and Woody. In all there are 14 to choose from.

The supported devices include many non-Smartphone models. The Motorola MPx220 is the long supported Windows Mobile Smartphone.

I have an Audiovox SMT5600 and am in the process of purchasing one of the tones see if it works (I selected the MPx220 as my device).*

They are $2.49 each.

Mike, you MAY be in luck. True, there is a seperate section for "Voice Tones" which IS listed as Coming Soon, BUT if you go to any of the standard ringtone categories on Disney's site (i.e. Aladdin, Jungle Book, etc.). there are clear voice tones mixed in with the music ringtones.

Unfortuenetly, you still HAVE to download them from your carrier, and the instructions for (at least) US Cellular are totally FUBAR, but at least you can hear the voice ringtones....pretty funny.
