How to convert and watch video on a Smartphone is a very common question in the forums, and while you can purchase various software packages, some of us would rather have a do-it-yourself solution. Smartphone Thoughts reader optikalsaint has posted a detailed guide on how to convert using either VirtualDub or PocketDivxEncoder. He's even supplied all the download links for the free tools required to make it happen.

Video is something I haven't really played with yet, and I really don't have much of an excuse now. My "Long Weekend" resolution is to encode at least one video. :mrgreen:
