T-Mobile SDA review by PC Magazine
"Whether the "S" stands for small, smart, or super-duper, the T-Mobile SDA (on sale February 13) packs in more power per cubic inch than any other phone on the market. Whether syncing with Microsoft Outlook, playing music, or surfing the Web over Wi-Fi, the SDA ($299.99 list) puts an irresistible amount of power into your pocket. That makes this delicious little Microsoft Windows Mobile Smartphone our new Editors' Choice among keyboardless smartphones. Also known around the world as the iMate SP5m, the SDA Music, and the HTC Tornado, the SDA is the true successor to the beloved Audiovox SMT 5600 smartphone. But everything's been redone here, most impressively the addition of Wi-Fi connectivity." Folks, looks like T-Mobile is really getting ready to launch this Smartphone. Sascha Segan over at PC Magazine has posted the review of the small, slightly chubby, rounded candy-bar SDA. According to the review T-Mobile will introduce a new unlimited data plan that includes both EDGE and Wi-Fi HotSpots for $30 per month. 8O

I remember paying $30 a month for just the HotSpots when they first came out - that seems to be a great deal.
It's interesting how much attention Smartphones are getting with this new generation of devices. Seems that the concept has finally arrived.
Talking about arriving, my SP5 should be here tomorrow !!

Unlimited data for $30? That's nice! and a phone like this - even better.

well, T-Mobile has had an unlimited data plan priced at $19.99 for more than a year now. The plan is going away and you're forced to buy the $30 plan with Hotspots now.

Now I wish I hadn't switched to Cingular. I visit Starbucks and Borders (book store) a lot, and both the places have T-Mobile Hotspots. :-(

Well, you did get to use your version of the hump phone for months longer than those of us who (im)patiently waited for this. I know it was really hard for me to keep using my 5600 while waiting for this.
On another note, what about this $4.99 unlimited t-zones plan? I have read somewhere on Engadget that it allows http, pop email, and some others. It only blocks https, chat, and some others. Has anyone tried this plan with any of the Tornado varients? Also, what about using a pre-paid account with t-zones?

I too just switched to Cingular and am locked in for two years. Starbucks is my friend so the $30 a month plan sounds very appealing to me. Sigh...
I'm still happy with my phone though. With 4smartphones sms'ing my emails to me and syncing all my devices, it's been nothing but good times. I'm amazed at how convenient the 2125 is to use on an everyday basis.
