It might not be much to look at in your desktop browser, but PDA Homepage is a huge resource of PDA-friendly (and thus smartphone friendly as well) mobile Web sites and online resources. Categories include news, weather, sports, travel, entertainment, videos, and more. Founder Nigel Mabandla maintains the directory, and it's a good resource worth bookmarking on your mobile device.

Thanks for reminding me about that site. I used it for a while and found it to be formatted nicely and updated frequently.

I understand that people need to make money. But isn't a mobile site supposed to be simplified and not embedded with tons of ads? I'd rather bookmark the links and go from there.

Speaking of which...The radioshack ad that was on this page was Flash and covered the whole page...preventing me from immediately adding my 2 cents post!

On this page - in the forums, at the top of the page?

Yeah, I've had a couple of reports about that - it's definitely NOT intentional and I'm looking into it. It's our advertising company feeding us the ads, and sometimes strange things happen. It's a very negative side effect of me not managing it myself any more. :?

I discovered Skweezer when I got my first smartphone. Excellent formatting for small devices. And I like the "Favorites" feature.

Nice, and simple.

I still prefer MiniSphere though. It has most of the same links, but at least I can put the ones I use most on my homepage so I don't have to go looking for them.

Plus the ads are placed at the bottom, out of the way. They probably don't generate much money being down there, but at least it makes for a better user experience.
