"With the upcoming new version of the Microsoft Visual Studio development system, device developers can make use of the many new features to develop applications for Windows Mobile powered devices. In this webcast , Jim Wilson and Maarten Struys provide a guided tour around everything new in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 for Windows Mobile application developers. The focus of this sample-filled webcast is on developing managed applications using the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework version 3.5. In this session, we present a high-level overview of Visual Studio 2008. Learn about new features, like Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), unit testing, Microsoft .NET Language-Integrated Query (LINQ), and the new Device Emulator. In other webcasts on Visual Studio 2008, we provide detailed information and many samples to show how you can apply these features in your own applications. Please join us as few take you on a guided tour around Visual Studio 2008."

I am usually pretty good at following the beta releases of developer tools and keeping tabs on the new features, but in case of Visual Studio 2008 and .NET Compact Framework version 3.5 I am totally clueless. That is where this webcast on MSDN can help me and others, who are in the same situation. According to DotNETForDevices.com this was just the first of a five part webcast series around Visual Studio 2008, so stay tuned for future webcasts. More information on Visual Studio 2008 can be found here.
