Default Mel Sampat on Windows Mobile Application Compatibility

http://blogs.msdn.com/melsam/

"My goal is to make this blog a resource that developers can turn to for improving the overall quality of their Windows Mobile applications. The focus will be on application compatibility (app compat) and usability. ... To keep things interesting, I'll run a "spot the bug" contest once a week beginning early next week. A short code snippet or downloadable application will be posted. It will include an intentional "bug". Readers will have 3 days to submit what they think the problem is. I will post the solution, an explanation of why this was a bug, and names of the top 3 winners on the 4th day. "Bugs" will not be syntax/logic errors or generic memory leaks. Instead, they will relate to things that can cause app compat or usability issues over the long term. Remember - the goal is not to teach you programming, but how you can avoid Windows Mobile-specific issues."

Mel Sampat is Program Manager in the Mobile & Embedded Devices division at Microsoft, and is responsible for improving the developer experience and maximizing application compatibility for current and future versions of Windows Mobile. If you are a Windows Mobile developer then you should check out his blog for tips and in case you think are a hot-shot programmer then how about attempting his weekly "Spot the Bug" contest. :-)
