Default Win an HTC Excalibur and Help Those Less Fortunate

User submitted imageIt's a great honor for me to announce that HTC has agreed to provide a HTC Excalibur Smartphone to the winner of the Smartphone Thoughts Charity Drive. This means the lucky winner will walk away with a tax receipt in their name for all the money raised and a cool new HTC Excalibur (also known as the S620) Smartphone. And of course, the feeling of having helped out those less fortunate. For those of you that might not be familiar with our Charity Drive and you’re wondering how you can be a part of this and enter your name, it’s really rather simple. All you need to do, is head on over to our affiliate store and purchase something before the end of January. Once the month is over, we will randomly pick a name from the list of people who have purchased something and they will take home the prizes. You can read more about it in the original announcement post over here.User submitted image A very big Thank You to HTC for putting up such a wonderful prize. We would have had this announcement out earlier in the month, but everyone was pretty busy with that little trade show that was going on in Vegas and it was hard to get the channels of communication flowing. Remember, you only have until the end of the month - so don't delay if you want to be entered into the draw.

well, that was enought incentive to buy a couple items I have been on the fence for.

And yes, the S620 is one hell of a great smartphone. Pity people keep thinking its a blackberry!! agh!!!

I have the same problem with my BlackJack. I think people see a small dark device with a keyboard and they automatically think it's a BlackBerry.

It's an age-old problem. For years every Pocket PC I showed people was a "Palm". Now a small device with a keyboard is a Blackberry, and an MP3 player is an iPod. Microsoft has NEVER had a hardware device with MINDSHARE, meaning the product that Joe User thinks of when he sees something similar.
