Zune 80 Firmware 2.2 Released

Late last night when I cradled my Zune 80, it was running firmware 2.1 and there was no update. This morning when I un-docked it and re-docked it because the software got stuck at 93% sync, it alerted me that there was a 2.2 firmware update. So now all three Zune devices (Zue 80, Zune 4/8, Zune 30) have 2.2 firmware released. Now all we need is a 2.2 update for the desktop software to fix some bugs and add some features back in...

My Zune80 updated to 2.2 on Tuesday right after I got it, so wonder if there's some weird delays or something...

Yes it does. I use a 2nd gen dock with a 1st gen remote.

Yes, it seems to - the volume works, so I presume all the other functions will as well.

Hmm. I was wondering about that - it kind of sucks that it doesn't roll out for all users at the same time, it makes it a crapshoot as to whether or not I can post "new news" or not.

It was my understanding that they managed to sell out of all of the Zune 80GB's that were sold. At least all of the major online retailers such as Amazon, Circuit City and Best Buy.
