Hard drive sizes are approximations, I believe it is because 1 byte actually list higher than 1. This is typical of all hard drives
40g =37g
80g =74g
250g =224g
and so on.
I don't remember the technical size equivalents, but like I said it has always been this way. If you care to find the accurate size or better explanation look on Maxtor's site, or a hard drive product box.
The system would likely take up a minimum amount of hard drive space especially when we recognize the lack of features the Zune has. Even in the future if we see additons to rival and surpass the iPod it will still only need a small amount of space.
