making a zune male to female passthrough cable

Well the title pretty much says it all. I am trying to get the Zune gen1 A/V dock to work in my auto. Most everything is ready to go, but there is one thing I would like to do but dont think that its gonna happen. Basically dont want to sit the Zune in the A/V cradle as I dont consider it a secure spot in my bumpy ride. So I would like to have a cable that is female on one end to plug into the cradle plug and then male on the other to plug into the zune. I have found a site that sells components to make the male end, but so far nothing on the female/input end.

So far it looks like i am going to have to rip the input port off of a doner board or buy another dock and rip the blug off of it, else scrap the idea all together. But if anyone here has any suggestions or reason not to, let me know.
