Default ERROR!! Can't Open Zune

ERROR!! Can't Open Zune

Every time I try to open it, the thing pops up with "Microsoft Zune has encountered a problem...send error message or dont send." This is what it says according to the error signature:

AppName: zune.exe AppVer: 2.1.888.2 AppStamp:473d2ea7
ModName: oleaut32.dll ModVer: 5.1.2600.3139 ModStamp:464c3c45
fDebug: 0 Offset: 000344f1

Some one please help, Zune is killing me with all these problems.

Have you tried restarting, re-installing, or installing with S-ZIP?

What OS are you running? What're your hardware specs?

Did it ever work?

If not, make sure your system is up to date with Windows Update. As Adam noted, knowing the OS would be helpful.

Wow, didn't know you responded, could have sworn i checked this daily.
Um if by OS you mean Micro XP then yes I use that. I installed that SZip but to no avail. I also have uninstalled and reinstalled prior to trying the SZip, but not following if that is what you mean. I went to a friends house and installed it on his cpu and it worked fine so I guess it has something to do with my cpu, no?

Yeah, there's something about your install of Windows XP that's screwing up the installation...and fixing it is probably not an easy thing. I hate to say this, but it might be time for a format and re-install of Windows XP.

Have you tried the full-blown installation (the one that includes all of the dependencies)? If you have broadband, might be worth one last shot before wiping your PC.
