I was not creating a WPV file which was hard to decipher from that post. It was a MPG file created using the programs listed in the post referenced above.
All of the programs listed in the referenced post above are FREE including the Smartphone program that I used to view the MPG files on the phone...PocketTV which can be found at
http://www.pockettv.com
This program will allow you to view the movied landscaped on the phone and the website also has a pretty good HOW TO guide on how the whole process works.
It takes a long time to rip a movie and re-encode it so be prepared...at least a 4 hour process.

I also remember template downloads located somewhere with predefined settings for pocketpcs and smartphones but I cant remember where they are.
